Why am I running?
I’m running to bring the passion of an activist, the compassion of a mom, and the practical experience of someone living through the issues we face first hand to a system that has long ignored the voices of everyday people.
I‘m running because our District deserves representation that works for us, not the corporations that donate to their campaigns looking for a return on their investments.
I’m running because the issues we face as a District and country need to be approached with a sense of urgency proportionate to the problems.
Our District deserves a leader.
Our current Congressman, isn’t doing enough—not for his constituents or to further the causes that we need him to fight for. It’s no longer enough to just elect a Democrat. We need to elect better Democrats.
We need a Representative that is transparent with their votes, so we know that they are voting with our interests in mind, and not hiding them within the Problem Solvers Caucus. We need to know that if they reach across the aisle it’s to benefit us, not to trade in political favors.
Our district deserves representation that advocates for their constituents, not the corporations that fund their campaigns.
We deserve representation that speaks out for what’s right, even when what’s right may be politically unpopular.
I will fight relentlessly to get things done.
Right now, the status quo isn’t working.
The rhetoric isn’t working.
The thoughts and prayers aren’t working.
If we really want change.
If we really want progress.
We ALL need to fight for it.

I’m not in this to spend the rest of my life in Washington. I’m in this because there are things that need to be fixed right now. There are only so many marches you can go to, events you can organize and articles you can post, until you realize that you need to do more.
I want a government that embodies the spirit of our brand new table, reflective of the voices of everyone, and starting right here in NY District 3.

New York’s 3rd Congressional District
Our district includes most of the North Shore of Long Island. It stretches from northwestern Suffolk County, across northern Nassau County and into far northeastern Queens. Long Island communities in the district include Manhasset, Huntington, Northport, Commack, Dix Hills, Plainview, Bethpage, Hicksville, Syosset, Glen Cove, Roslyn, Port Washington and Great Neck. Queens neighborhoods in the district include Little Neck, Whitestone, Glen Oaks and Floral Park.
